Here's why I can help
I learned long ago that I have a gift for storytelling, a natural curiosity, and an uncanny talent for untying knots. This has fueled my passion for problem-solving complex challenges and for making positive impacts through messaging and design.
I’ve dedicated my career to content and user experience strategies, and have successfully nurtured teams that share my vision. I’ve had an amazing journey thus far and am excited about future challenges.

What it's like to work with me
I believe in employing repeatable design processes that free up the brain for the important creative and strategic decisions. I consider myself a cautious but resolute decision-maker, and I faithfully follow an elongated version of the Lean Loop: Learn > Build > Measure > Repeat.
1. Learn
I've devoted a large part of my career to knowledge transfer techniques. Learning, listening, interviewing, and researching play foundational roles in my initial engagement with you. This may include 1-2-1 sessions, deep internet dives, group workshops, and other back and forth conversations.
2. Build
My design career began in the literal "cut and paste" era of newspaper layout. I take a very deliberate approach to content, whether it's UX wireframes, copywriting, or information architecture. I create and present content in a way that fully demonstrates my decisions and reasonings.
3. Measure
Presentation of design is so valuable because this allows me to measure the reactions, whether its through user testing exercises or by listening to client feedback. The collective response of your audience is a powerful dataset. Valuable next steps for improving the experience design happen in this phase.
4. Repeat
The loop continues back to phase one. Continuous, whether it's part of an iterative design process that's moving from MVP stage to design updates or if it's for later recommendations for future projects and products.
